Social Tennis is a great way to to start your journey into the world of tennis; meet new people, make new friends and experience what Galway Lawn Tennis Club has to offer.
Social Tennis consists of friendly doubles, providing each player with a variety of games. It is intended to be fun and gives you an opportunity to meet and socialise with other members. Players of any standard may take part, although a very inexperienced player may prefer some coaching and practice first. Social Tennis is organised by a member of the coaching team who places players onto courts to play doubles, ensuring they have good, balanced games. Players are mixed into different groups every 25–30 minutes.
This is a chance for non-members and members alike to try their hand out at tennis and to meet new players at the Club. On the last Wednesday of each month, after the Social Tennis session has finished, everyone moves up to the bar for some refreshments and a chin wag! If you haven’t tried it out already, come along and you will not be disappointed!
